Education Degree:Graduated from the Yerevan Art College named after P. Terlemezyan (1945) and the State Art Inst. (1951), Acad. (1990, corr. 1982).
Scope of research: Essays dedicated to the artistic depiction of the tragic and heroic pages of Armenian history, native wildlife, human labour, the life of modern Armenian villages. He illustrated a number of art books.
Membership in the academies and scientific societes: Member of the Art Academy of the USSR (1973, corr. 1962).
Awards: Laureate of State Prizes of the USSR (1968) and Armenian SSR (1983). He was awarded the Labor Red Banner, “Badge of Honor”, Medal of the World Exhibition of Fine Arts in Brussels (bronze, 1958) and Moscow (Gold, 1957).
Speciakization: Arts.
