Leonid Yengibaryan was a Soviet clown, pantomimic and actor of the Soviet estrade and circus.
He was ASSR People's Artist. In 1959 he graduated from the State School of Circus Art, Clownship department. After graduation in 1959 he moved to Yerevan and joined the Armenian state circus. In 1964, in Prague, he was awarded the First Prize in the contest of clowns.
In 1971he created a Pantomime Theatre.
Yengibarov's filmography is: A Path to the Arena, Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors, A Necklace for My Beloved, Please meet Leonid Yengibarov and many others. In 1971 his compilation of novels "First Round" was published.
