Hakob Hakobyan was born on February 10, 1963 in Edjmiatsin.
Mr. Hakobyan graduated with a degree in hydro engineering from the Armenia Agricultural Academy in 2001.
From 1981-1983 he served in the Soviet Army. From 1984-1986 he was a worker in Hayjrshin. From 1986-1988 he worked as a head of fiel operatios , from 1988-1991 he was a head of a division and from 1991-1999 he was head of a unit.
1999-2003 was his first term as a deputy of the NA (electoral district # 35) and he was on the NA Standing Committee on State
and Legal Affairs and a member first of the Stability Deputy Droup and later the “People's Deputy” Deputy Group
On May 25, 2003 he was reelected to the NA from electoral district # 26 and he serves on the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs. He is a member of the “People's Deputy” Deputy Group. He has no political party affiliation.
Mr. Hakobyan is married and has four children.
