Born in 1 April 1961, village Artsvaberd, Republic of Armenia, Marz Tavoush.
1978-1979 worked in “Yerevanshin” industrial union as a worker.
1979-1981 passed military service in the Soviet Army.
1982-1983 worked in a hothouse industry of Abovyan city as a worker.
1988 – Graduated from the faculty of Economy of Armenian Agricultural Institute with high distinction, receiving qualification of “Economist-organizer of agricultural production”.
I1988 March-November worked in the soviet industry of Arzni city, Marz Kotayk as an economist.
1988 was elected secretary of komsomol organization of Armenian Agricultural Institute, worked here till 1990.
Since 1991 he works as a lecturer in “Agro business management” department of State Agricultural University of Armenia, and since 2003 lecturer in the RA Public Administration Academy.
1997-2002 was head of youth national board of Armenia.
1998-1999 was member of political board at the RA President.
1999-2002 was Deputy of RA National Assembly, member of Standing Committee on State and Legal Issues.
15 January 2002 was appointed RA CSC Chairman on the Decree of the RA President for six years, and 15 January 2008 was appointed again to the same position on the Decree of the RA President for six years.
2005 was awarded with medal of “Anania Shirakatsi”.
2007 was awarded with medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” and gold medal of “Frityof Nansen”.
Manvel Badalyan is Head of the Board of State Agricultural University of Armenia.
He is a candidate of economic sciences, associate professor (docent).
Married has three daughters.
