Gagik V. Jhangiryan was born in 1955’ April 16, in Ararat. He got his Legal education at the Law Faculty of Yerevan State University, which he graduated from in 1977. After graduation he worked at the Philosophy and Law Institute of SSRA General Council as a laboratory assistant, after, as a scientific worker

1997-2006 RA Military Prosecutor, Deputy Prosecutor General of the RA
January 17' 2006 By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia appointed as a Deputy Prosecutor General of RA.
According to the RA Prosecutor General's Decree N 2, dated on January 19' 2006, G.Jhangiryan implements the coordination over the activities of the Department on Supporting the Prosecution on Criminal Cases in Courts (besides the cases which are finished in the diaries of the Investigators on Especially Important Cases, to the RA Prosecutor General, and of the Investigation Department of the RA General Prosecution Office) and over the related activities. He also organizes the activities of the Attestation Committee and leads it. Implementation of the control over the activities of Fiscal Department and of the "Legality" periodical is also in the frame of his duties.
