"Hope, Belief and Love" they are just the world and we people are created to live. It's the source of kindness, faith, hope, belief, love. If there is no hope there is no life. This slogan that Armenian celebrated and favorite singer supports is actually also for those who can live, think, love and create new things, new ideas. Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible and achieves the impossible. And love is the basement of everything. The music that she creates with her smooth voice is the result of love towards music.
Lilit Karapetyan was born on June 10, 1975 in the town of Alaverdi, Armenia. Her mother is a philologist and the father is a painter, the grandmother and grandfather were actors. She liked singing since early childhood. The first steps were in the town of Alaverdi and since 9 years she has come up with concerts in the regions of the Republic of Armenia.
In 1987 she participated in Arno Babajanyan Festival and was awarded the first prize.
In 1989 Lilit Karapetyan participated in the authorized song festival in Eghegnadzor and an honorable prize was awarded. She took part also in “Bohem Cafe” and became laureate.
Lilit Karapetyan cooperated with “Ardzaganq” studio and released her first CD entitled “You, My Best Friend”. The author of all the songs included in the CD is her brother. On the basis of the song “You, My Best Friend” video was shot by clip-maker Hrach Qeshishyan.
On the basis of the song “Your Hot Lips” video clip was shot by director Souren Rshtuni. Another video also was shot on the motives of the song “Siro Qami” (Wind of Love). At the same time the film “Mer Baky” (Our Yard) was shot where Lilit performed the song titled “Two Sisters”.
Lilit Karapetyan has collaborated with "Ardini" studio and released the second CD “Sha La La”. A video was shot on the basis of this song, a song which her brother has performed. She also has a clip called “Heqiatner” (Fairy Tales) directed by Arthur Vardanyan.
The third CD was released in memory of her brother, which was called “Qez Hamar” (For You). The song involved in the CD got great recognition, name and fame. The song “Tango” included in this CD achieved great aknowledgment, became hit and it is Lilit’s favorite song. Video was shot on the basis of this song, director Arthur Vardanyan. There is another video based on the song “Two Sisters” which was shot when Lilit’s brother Karen Karapetyan was still alive. Her brother was also involved in the video. The instrumental composition written by Karen , called “Veratcnund” (Rebirth) was also included in the third CD.
The fourth CD released in 2004 entitled “You are My Hope’ in the USA. The CD comprises old and new songs as well as favorite performances.
Lilit had concert tours in Russia, USA, Paris, and Netherlands, Iran and many other countries and cities. During the ‘Big Apple Awards” great festival Lilit Karapetyan was awarded the best pop singer nomination. Lilit has been shot in many advertisements in the USA.
She has been in Greece with concert tours where she would like to live it is her most favorite country.
Lilit Karapetyan has many serious projects and ideas which are in the process of realization.
